Water-repellent insulation materials
The water absorption rate of the material is an important factor that should be considered when choosing insulation materials. The thermal conductivity of water at room temperature is 23.1 times higher than that of air. The absorption of water in insulation materials not only greatly reduces their thermal insulation performance, but also accelerates the corrosion of metals and is therefore very harmful. Insulation material void structure is divided into connected type, closed type, semi-closed type several, in addition to a few organic foam void most of the closed type, other insulation materials regardless of how the void, its material itself water absorption, plus the capillary penetration of connected void water absorption, so the overall water absorption rate are higher. Most of the current insulation materials are not water-repellent, which requires waterproof treatment in the outer layer, invisible to raise the cost. According to the report, the use of organosilicon compounds and inorganic silicate between the strong chemical affinity to effectively change the surface characteristics of silicate materials, can make it achieve water repellent effect, the method has good stability, low cost, simple process and other characteristics. Therefore, Jiuzheng building materials network, improve the hydrophobicity of insulation materials, reduce the water absorption rate is one of the main development direction of various types of thermal insulation materials.
Foam heat insulation materials
Foam materials have the characteristics of honeycomb structure, high porosity, low density and small thermal conductivity, which are widely used in the field of energy saving and heat insulation. In recent years, the development and utilisation of nuclear energy has received worldwide attention, however, with the nuclear accident at the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan, nuclear safety has become the primary consideration of all countries, and therefore will certainly put forward higher requirements for the performance of various materials that should be used in nuclear energy generation devices. Foam ceramics, due to its good resistance to high temperatures, corrosion and thermal shock, will not be affected by nuclear radiation when used as a thermal insulation material for the nuclear industry, which could lead to safety hazards. In addition, foam glass used as building insulation material not only saves a lot of renewable energy, but also slows down environmental pollution to a certain extent and plays a role in environmental protection, which has good social and economic benefits.
Environmentally friendly thermal insulation materials
The thermal power industry is growing exponentially, and the gap between the amount of fly ash emissions and utilization is widening, and the "burden" of fly ash has become a difficult problem for the sustainable development of enterprises, which will restrict the development of China's power industry in the near future. At present, some scholars have studied the use of fly ash to prepare thermal insulation materials for thermal kilns, and some progress has been made. In addition, organic synthetic lightweight foam insulation materials are very difficult to degrade naturally, especially polystyrene foam, polyurethane foam and other "white pollution" caused by the inability to degrade has become a worldwide environmental problem. Therefore, from the point of view of the country's increasing strengthening and emphasis on environmental protection, environmentally friendly insulation materials will also become one of the important directions in the development of insulation materials.
